Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back On Tour

After many line-up changes Thin Lizzy called it quits after their 1983 tour, supporting the "Thunder and Lightning" album.
With the tragic death of frontman Philip Lynott in 1986 it seemd most unlikely that this band who's infuence in modern Rock and Metal music can not be denied.

Anno 1996, John Sykes gave rebirth to Thin Lizzy as a tribute band, no new material was written and only back cataloge material was played.
As a band they anounced to support AC DC in Great Brittain on a 2009 tour, but this was canceled due to Tommu Aldridge, drummer at that time, breaking his broken collar bone in an accident, followed by Sykes leaving the band again.

In the same year (2009) Gorham began to form a new line-up for Thin Lizzy, starting with original drummer Brian Downey and keyboard player Darren Wharton, Marco Mendoza returned once more on bass and Ricky Warwick on vocals. After a few guitarist-changes, Damon Johnson stayed.

Anyone who's having second thoughts with this line-up being "Thin Lizzy" should go out there and see them live. They are nothing less than impressive, a rock show as it should be, guitars, show, fun and vibes. The band plays the crowd just as easy as their instruments.

It's much much more than a tribute show with a band playing Thin Lizzy covers, it looks, feels and sounds like Thin Lizzy, proving all sceptics wrong.
