Rival Sons @Trix

The last time Rival Sons were in Belgium, it was july 2nd and they took the main stage on Rock Werchter.
I missed them than, but heard nothing but good. So when their name popped up on Trix' calendar, my schedule was instantly updated and a pass-request sent!

For those who haven't yet heard of Rival Sons: shame on you!
But really, read on:
They bring a great mix of blues, classic rock & hard rock.
The comparison with Led Zeppelin is often made, what can only be seen as a good thing. As their sound is what we've been waiting for since the 70's were gone... or so to speak.
Their current line-up formed only just in 2008 followed by their first self released album in 2009 'Before the Fire'.
They signed with Earache Records in 2010 (which usually houses bands who bring a much heavier sound) and released "Pressure & Time" mid 2011.
In 2010 they opened for no less than Alice Cooper, Kid Rock & AC/DC. All this for a band only to have released their first album one year before.
In other words:

This is a band to keep your eyes and ears open for!

Their set was well performed and lived up to the expectation, seeing the crowds reaction, their single "Pressure and Time" is already well known and I think radio stations should pick it up soon. Unfortunatly, thats not my call.
